Quito Arrival Begin your journey in the enchanting city of Quito, where a dedicated private guide awaits to introduce you to this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nestled in the heart of the Old Town, your hotel is the perfect base for exploring the rich history etched into every city corner. La Selva Arrival Embark on an exciting journey from your hotel in Quito to El Coca via a 30-minute flight. La Selva Eco Lodge & Retreat representatives will assist with check-in and provide a brief overview of the adventure ahead. On arrival, transfer to Napo River’s main dock and begin a captivating 2-hour journey towards the heart of the Amazon rainforest.
La Selva Eco Lodge & Retreat Begin Your Amazon forest exploration with a 20-minute walk to the observation tower for stunning canopy views and wildlife spotting. Choose between the Tucaneta Trail, learning about Amazon ecology and medicinal plants, or a hike to Mandi Cocha lagoon and Igapo Forest, ideal for bird and otter watching. After lunch, stroll the Charapa trail to see mammals and monkeys, followed by a sunset canoe ride. Cap off the day with a nocturnal canoe trip, spotting wildlife under the stars.
La Selva Eco Lodge & Retreat Enjoy a visit to the Napo River’s clay licks, home to hundreds of vibrant parrots and parakeets. Please continue to the Amazonian Kichua tribe community center for an insight into their lifestyle. The afternoon takes us to Garzacocha Lagoon, filled with monkeys and birds. End the day with a night walk, spotting unique wildlife before receiving departure information for your journey the next day.
La Selva Departure Following the hotel manager’s briefing, prepare for an early wake-up call and breakfast before leaving the lodge. Staff will assist with luggage during your canoe ride back to Coca. Our representatives will guide you to the airport. In Quito, a private transfer will take you to your hotel, with assistance provided for luggage handling and check-in.
