On arrival, transfer to Napo River’s main dock and begin a captivating 2-hour journey towards the heart of the Amazon rainforest.
La Selva Eco Lodge & Retreat Begin Your Amazon forest exploration with a 20-minute walk to the observation tower for stunning canopy views and wildlife spotting. Choose between the Tucaneta Trail, learning about Amazon ecology and medicinal plants, or a hike to Mandi Cocha lagoon and Igapo Forest, ideal for bird and otter watching. After lunch, stroll the Charapa trail to see mammals and monkeys, followed by a sunset canoe ride. Cap off the day with a nocturnal canoe trip, spotting wildlife under the stars.
La Selva Eco Lodge & Retreat Enjoy a visit to the Napo River’s clay licks, home to hundreds of vibrant parrots and parakeets. Please continue to the Amazonian Kichua tribe community center for an insight into their lifestyle. The afternoon takes us to Garzacocha Lagoon, filled with monkeys and birds. End the day with a night walk, spotting unique wildlife before receiving departure information for your journey the next day.
La Selva Departure Following the hotel manager’s briefing, prepare for an early wake-up call and breakfast before leaving the lodge. Staff will assist with luggage during your canoe ride back to Coca. Our representatives will guide you to the airport. In Quito, a private transfer will take you to your hotel, with assistance provided for luggage handling and check-in.
Galapagos Elite Arrival Arrive at San Cristobal airport and transfer to the vessel. Visit the David Rodriguez Breeding Center to learn about the origin and evolution of giant tortoises and the center’s role in their preservation. Walk through reserve trails to see baby tortoises reared in semi-natural conditions, showcasing locals’ commitment to conserving Galapagos wildlife.
Suarez Point in Española has abundant wildlife, including large colonies of Nazca and blue-footed boobies, mockingbirds, and unique waved albatross. Notable features are blowholes that shoot water 25m high. In the afternoon, visit Gardner Bay’s pristine beach, a breeding site for albatross and home to sea lions. Kayaking or paddle boarding offers great ways to observe wildlife. Nearby Gardner and Osborn Islets are excellent snorkeling spots, teeming with young sea lions and colorful tropical fish.
Cormorant Point on Floreana Island features two beaches – one green-tinted due to olivine crystals, the other white from pulverized coral. The site hosts a large flamingo population and other shorebirds. Nearby Champion Islet offers excellent snorkeling with diverse fish. In the afternoon, visit Post Office Bay for a unique mailing tradition dating back to 18th-century British whalers, and enjoy snorkeling and kayaking. Explore a lava tube, then take a panga ride to the Baroness’ Lookout for panoramic views of mangroves and coastline.
Mosquera Islet, between Baltra and North Seymour islands, offers free-roaming exploration. Encounter sea lions, shorebirds, and Sally Lightfoot crabs on land, while coral reefs provide excellent snorkeling opportunities to view sharks, turtles, and rays. The trip concludes with a transfer from the yacht to Baltra Airport.
